Our Group Compliance department is looking for a knowledgeable, self-starter to join the team as a Compliance Specialist in Information Technology to be responsible for the managing of compliance risks though the employ of policies and frameworks pertainingto our regulatory obligations. The successful candidate will be required, primarily, to:
implement the IT compliance programme for Discovery Group,
maintain the IT compliance risk management frameworks,
assess, maintain and advise on the IT regulatory universe,
develop and facilitate compilation of and review IT compliance risk management plans,
Conduct IT compliance monitoring,
Compile and submit internal and external compliance reports, and
The Head: Compliance are responsible for the successful implementation, management and monitoring of the Companies’ Compliance, Legal and Risk function.
The position ensures the Board of Directors, management and employees comply with the rules and regulations of regulatory bodies, that company policies and procedures are followed, and that behaviour in the organisation meets the required standards
Main purpose: To be responsible for legal framework within the SIU and all processes relating to the effective monitoring and regulations of legal compliance within the SIU.
Minimum qualification and experience: LLB or equivalent (NQF 8). Admission as an Attorney or an Advocate. 6 to 8 years’ experience after admission as an Advocate or Attorney, within Legal Compliance environment, of which 4 years is at a management level.
